Housing Action Illinois convened a fundraising event in observance of Fair Housing Month. Representatives from Housing Choice Partners (HCP) and the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) participated in the National Conference on Housing Mobility held in Washington, D.C., on September 20, 2023.

Civic Leadership Academy

Our esteemed Executive Director, Catherine Johnson, has been chosen to partake in the University of Chicago Civic Leadership Academy, a distinction of considerable merit given the program's rigorous selection process.

2024 CLA's Cohort

The University of Chicago Center for Effective Government (CEG) at the Harris School of Public Policy announced its 2024 class of Civic Leadership Academy (CLA) fellows—30 of the area’s most promising government and nonprofit leaders—who make up the tenth cohort of the Center’s prestigious interdisciplinary leadership development program.

The 2024 Cohort of CLA fellows was formally inducted during a ceremony held on January 11th 2024, at the prestigious Chicago History Museum. Mayor Brandon Johnson extended a warm welcome to the incoming cohort during this significant event.
