Housing Choice Partners (HCP) aims to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty and promote racial and economic diversity in housing. When families and individuals have stable housing, they are better able to fully participate in the communities and contribute to the local economy.

HCP enrolls over 1,200 HCV-assisted families in its housing mobility counseling annually.

In partnership with the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA), HCP works with families that have a Housing Choice Voucher and are interested in moving to Mobility Areas where there are better schools, safer streets, and more job opportunities.
HCP administers the Illinois Rental Housing Support Program, which supports low-income families throughout suburban Cook County. In addition, HCP assists formerly incarcerated individuals who have demonstrated transformative success in rebuilding their lives.
HCP plays a key role in advancing fair housing rights by providing education and outreach to a variety of groups. HCP also works to support policy changes that strengthen fair housing laws and expand equal opportunity in housing to low-income people.
